To help the GoldStar Team develop the 'Practice to Include' manual we talked to a range of disability groups to draw out first hand experience of the barriers that disabled people face when trying to find volunteering opportunities. These groups have also highlighted actions that volunteer-involving organisations could take to remove the barriers and so develop good practice in recruitment and support strategies for disabled volunteers.

'Practice to Include' offers clear and practical guidelines for effective recruitment, management and retention of disabled volunteers. It includes checklists, practical approaches, resource lists and volunteer profiles.
